If you just need the QR code for ASU, here it is.  Scan this from the Pocket App when prompted to connect to your ASU account.

Please note that for the initial phase of the Pocket Alpha test, you are not connecting to actual ASU data yet, just sample data that includes the name and email you provided to us as an Alpha tester.

Please use the email you provided to Pocket, as it is currently linked to your ID in our sample ASU database.  If for some reason this does not work, try one of your other ASU emails, we may have a different one on record for you.

Note that we are not yet directly connected to ASU data yet; look for a future version of our Alpha release that gets you connected to your real ASU data.

Create a 16 (or more) character passphrase that will be used to open your Pocket app in the future.  You can use any combination of any 16 or more characters, including spaces.  The best passphrase is a simple sentence or phrase that you can easily remember.

Why so long?

According to the Center for Internet Security (CIS), length is the most important aspect of a good password. Passwords that are more that 16 characters are statistically harder to guess than shorter ones. Using random words in your passphrase rather than words familiar to you is an even better practice.

16+ character passwords can actually be easier to remember. Instead of using a single word with lots of character types (uppercase, lowercase, special characters, and numerals), you can use more words with fewer character types.

If your phone supports any kind of biometric login, you can enable that now, so you can open the Pocket app using a biometric test.

Now we need to create your encrypted wallet, which requires a blockchain style seed phrase for the encryption.  Scroll through all 12 seed phrase words and copy or write them down in an accessible and private place, noting the specific order of the words.

Although you won’t need these seed words every time you want to access your wallet, they are necessary to create your secure encrypted wallet and to open it for the first time (or when you need to sign into Pocket from a new device).

We will ask for three specific seed words to create and open your wallet for the first time, so you will need to be ready to supply these words.

Again, please copy down these words in order to access your wallet.
